Mood of the Month - January 2020

I keep hearing people saying; ‘has the world gone mad?’ but I suppose the real question is: was it ever sane? In uncertain times the only recourse is to be practical about everything; relationships, health, career, finances; no stone should be left unturned.

The Sun and 3 major planets are already lined up in Capricorn, the wise powerful leader. Capricorn rules agriculture, commerce, political systems, in fact, most forms of organised human activity. We can no longer ignore the bigger picture of what’s happening globally as it really does affect us all. Because this huge planet is only a tiny dot in the cosmos. Don’t be overwhelmed but take what practical measures you can in your neighbourhood.

2020 is the decade when we should be able to say that we changed things for the better. We need to seek a positive coming together and major initiatives to be undertaken by the end of the year. It starts now.

With so much doom and gloom around what are we meant to do? Well, tune into the magic; your magic. By which I mean the magic of hope, the magic of being loving and loved, the life enhancing joy of random acts of kindness – whether you’re giving or receiving them. It’s through compassion, empathy and generosity that we avoid despair.

You could well experience a big shift beginning within you with the Full Moon which will be in Cancer on the 10th January. It could be an emotional time with a particular relationship reaching a watershed moment or a life decision that needs making. This is equally valid on the global scale.

Symbolically, Cancer is Mother and Capricorn is Father so she softens all the harshness that’s been building and reaches out to us all with love. This could be the time you meet the right person or develop a relationship or walk away from a situation that no longer fulfils your needs. Some of you will feel that tingling excitement of anything being possible; you feel empowered and hopeful.

On 21st, we move into Aquarius, the innovator, the visionary and friend to all and this energy is reinforced by the Aquarian New Moon on the 24th. Look around you and you will see people are already taking both small and big, positive steps in their life, so be on the lookout for surprises and breakthroughs. Reach out to people who can expand your heart and your thinking.

Eris, the female warrior, is supporting our intended goal. Men who support women will rise to be great leaders. Women will not wait any longer to get approval from men in the public arena.

Aquarius brings dramatic change, so just be in the moment, trust and let the journey unfold.
